6. Boundaries in Marriage by Dr. Henry Cloud.

One of many of the “Boundaries” books written by Henry Cloud and John Townsend, this book takes couples through the ten laws of boundaries that every marriage should have and understand.

This marital book takes a different approach than many others do, by encouraging boundaries inside your marriage as well as around it.

For many couples, the old “Two become one” adage can be the source of much distress. We are unique individuals and that does not change once we get married.

Being married does not mean you must follow one person’s way of thinking, nor does it mean you should mold yourself to become someone else.

Being married means you are two separate individuals and must learn how to live in community with each other complimenting one another, not completing.

Boundaries in Marriage has a great point of view on how to get started, and how to maintain boundaries within your marriage and boundaries to protect your marriage.

Struggling to build boundaries in your marriage and with your friends or family? Read this book to learn how to set healthy boundaries for your marriage.
